Burgeoning vocabulary

on

Ever since the San Diego trip during Christmas, Dumps has started repeating everything he hears, and has started using that vocabulary in speech.

Car, cooker, ‘nana, this, and staar were pretty much all he said before visiting the hip town.
And he came back hip-per.

“Gon” – when Dada used to go to office. “O’er” when the plate is licked clean. “Quare” for every square object in Legoland (and there are quite a few!) “Kirkle” for every round object.

Now, 2-word phrases have been discovered.

“Bye Taataa” – when Anika goes to sleep.
“Dada Gon” – when Daddy was in Austin.
“More bikit” – pass the cookies please.

Dumps has also gone super-abstract. He can point to all the colors of the rainbow.
And Pumps is finally able to recognize himself (“Pappa”).

Progress is always slow, but certain.
