Pumps is very particular about food. Kind of like his sister.

Unlike his sister, Dumps puts everything in his mouth but food. His sister didn’t put anything in her mouth, including food.

Every morning, he gets a squished banana from Mama. If the banana is slightly green – maybe Pumps will oblige if he is in a generous mood. If the banana is just slightly overripe – I would say, good luck to you sire! The head shall shake vehemently till you give up.

It has to be a perfect, firm, spotless, fragrant yellow banana.

One morning, while sitting on his high chair, Mama and Pumps were going through a similar overripe-banana-hence-head-shaking tournament. Frustrated, Mama gave up and left the banana on his high-chair tray and concentrated on her relaxing chai instead.

CHOMP!

We turn and see Pumps busily chewing on something which seemed rather delicious. Fearing the worst, Mama forces her finger into his mouth and yanks out a piece of banana, with the peel intact! Overripe peeled banana – sorry. Overripe banana with the peel – delicioso.
