The current fad seems to be to force Mama and Daddy to do exactly the same acts that Ms. Pandey is doing. Yesterday, she sat on the apartment steps and asked Mama to “Mama, sit”. Poor Daddy was still standing, and that was unbearable, so she quickly responded, “Daddy, Daddy, sit”, patting her puny hands on the concrete stair. Today, while Ms. Pandey was High-Fiveing Daddy and Mama, the urge to see Mama and Daddy high-five each other suddenly swept upon her. She gently took Mama’s hand and raised it, took Daddy’s hand and raised it, and squealed “Mama! Daddy! Hafive!” Of course all unwanted food items are still fed back to Mama and Daddy via those small fingers.
