Ms Pandey was a connoisseur of fine things, good literary taste and a deep musical understanding. This was definitely true even when she was 7 months old. Books were read with unparallel concentration and music was absorbed in complete solitude.
Then strolled in Pumps (or Dumps, as he is now known).
Give him a book – and Dumps brushes it away instantly. Another try – and Dumps might actually tear the book in half. Read him a story, and Dumps will look everywhere, except at the book. Try harder, and he will grab your hair and pull (not his hair, mind you). Play him the guitar, and Dumps would jump on the guitar with the intention of banging away a few power chords at it.
He took matters a bit more seriously today.
As Daddy began strumming his favorite tune on the acoustic, Dumps showed extreme anxiety which prompted Daddy to present his guitar to Dumps so he could bang away. But even the power chords didn’t help this time – Dumps simply took the guitar by its neck and started on a regiment of hand curls.
Daddy is very afraid of his CD collection once Dumps starts walking. Very very afraid.
