Daddy took the day off from work today – well barely, since he was hunched over a presentation for the entire day.

Daddy: “Anika, Daddy is going to be at home today.”
Anika: “Why Daddy?”
Daddy: “Because today is my Gubsi’s birthday!”
Anika: “Will the office people call you?”
Daddy: “Yes”
Anika: “So what will you tell them?”
Daddy: “That I am at home because it is my Gubsi’s birthday!”
Anika: “Daddy, don’t tell them about Gubsi”
Daddy: “Why?”

Ms Pandey lowers her head and mutters slowly.

Anika: “Tell them it is Anika’s birthday, not Gubsi’s”

Ms Pandey is already embarrassed about the nickname that Daddy has attached to her.
