Birds of a feather

There is a distinct difference in the way Anika interacts with grown-ups (alas, we fall heavily into that category now), and with kids in her age group. With the grown-ups, its all about tantrums, mood swings, pick-me-ups, desires and opinions. With infants, its all about love, interaction and a weird sense of mutual understanding. A 6 month old friend, Aniruddha, visited Anika today in the afternoon. Lets just say that the poor kid was a science exhibit for Ms. Pandey. She was touching his arms, his cheeks, lips, almost poking his eyes, and cooing and shrieking in happiness, all at the same time. Apart from the wake-up procedure, I haven’t seen that kind of love being handed out to any grown-up.
